Spotsylvania High School Baseball

In Memory

Chris Ross was a 1996 graduate of Spotsylvania High School. Chris was a superior athlete, Captain of his varsity baseball and golf teams, and the recipient of many awards. He was very competitive, and worked diligently to achieve his level of athletic performance. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge with young and inexperienced players, and hoped to become a coach one day. In 1997 Chris died when he fell asleep at the wheel of his car.

The Chris Ross Memorial Fund was established and is part of The Community Foundation Of The Rappahannock River Region. Each year, at Fawn Lake Country Club, we host a golf tournament in his memory. July 13, 2009 will be our twelfth year. The funds raised benefit youth sports programs and college scholarships for deserving student athletes.

We solicit individuals and businesses for product and service donations or cash hole sponsors. Your $100 silver, $300 gold, or $500 platinum hole sponsorship will ensure our event is a success and is tax deductible.
